Movie:Taare Zameen Par

My Rating : * * * * *

Aamir Khan's latest movie, co-produced and directorial debut has created ripples and has spread the knowledge of Dyslexia. The movie narrates a story about a dyslexia child and how Aamir who plays the main lead role as a teacher is able to identify and bring the child out of the shell that he was moving in to due to difficulty in learning which is a symptom of Dyslexia.

His world is filled with wonders that no one else seems to appreciate; colours, fish, dogs and kites are just not important in the world of adults, who are much more interested in things like homework, marks and neatness. And Ishaan just cannot seem to get anything right in class. For that he gets punished every time.

When he gets into far more trouble than his parents can handle, he is packed off to a boarding school to ‘be disciplined’. Things are no different at his new school, and Ishaan has to contend with the added trauma of separation from his family.
One day a new art teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh (Aamir Khan) bursts onto the scene, who infects the students with joy and optimism. Nikumbh soon realizes that Ishaan is very unhappy, and he sets out to discover why.

"'Taare...' is a film about children, not a children's film. It is aimed primarily at parents, and potential parents...youngsters who in a few years will become parents." said Aamir Khan on his blog site

"As we take on the burdens of adulthood we often gradually distance ourselves from our children, even our own childhood. This script brought it all back into sharp focus for me," he added.

Gents, please carry an extra kerchief for the women.Had a couple of friends of mine crying and had to bring them to reality that they were watching a movie.Heart touching movie though.I also liked the bit where in Aamir had captured the role and the effort and luv mom puts in one of the songs.
